Beach Mini Album

I finally finished my first mini album a few weeks ago. My BFF had gotten it the other day and loved it -- so special to send a one of a kind gift and have it mean alot.

So I'll get right into it...

It's a 5X7 mini album. I found some linen at a craft shop in Oklahoma City that I used for the front and back cover. Title and palm tree: Paper Wizard. There was actually more to the Paper Wizard title but it wouldn't fit so used only those two items. Shells are Impression Obsession with embossing powder.

I used Sparkle N Sprinkle Mojito, Hit The Beach, and Super Thick Gold embossing powders.

All the paper is Echo Park, A Perfect Summer, unless noted. The inside front cover is Glitz Design, Afternoon Muse Stripe paper. Paper clip - Making Memories, Poolside. Sand Dollar - Paper Bliss Accents with glitter added. Wave sticker - EP, A Perfect Summer.

Stickers - EP, A Perfect Summer. Bucket - Michael's or Hobby Lobby.

Drink - Hero Arts stamp - CL438, colored, added stickles glitter and fussy cut.

Die Versions Sweet Petites Sand Castle embossed with Sparkle N Sprinkle Hit the Beach. Stickles - Lagoon on flag. Added Mudd Puddles - Cabana Beach, along the bottom. Bucket - TPC Studio Summertime Beach, colored and fussy cut. Added glossy accents to bucket as well.

hehe..my friend was trying to take out picture with the ipad but couldn't see..so I ended up acting like I was being smushed.

Die Versions Cute Cubes "Life is Better at the Beach", washi tape along the inner side, stickers.

Stickers - Echo Park, A Perfect Summer. TPC Studio - word stamps. Shell brads.

Finnabair 12X12 stencil (dots). Memento inks: Tangelo, Dandelion. Glossy Accents on some dots and Stella - Wink of Stella. Scrappy Moms stamps - Sun Kissed.

Impression Obsession stamps - Beach Fun (sandals, and sentiment)

Impression Obsession die (shells) - DIE077-W
with Stampendous Shabby Blue embosing enamel

Washi tape - inner side of page. Stickles - Lagoon and Xmas Red.

Aquarium tickets with fishy stickers from Hobby Lobby or Michael's.

Paper Studio Bubble Letters

Fussy cut small fish from another picture. Words are fussy cut from brochure. Fish stickers.

Cut more info from the brochure and added to pics. Taped two pics back to back as added pages throughout album.

As you can see, there are various sizes of pages, postcards for journaling, and other memorabilia I saved to create this mini album, including the stickers I bought from Ron Jon Surf Shop for the inside of the back cover.

I also bought a couple sets of key chains for this album (and mine whenever I get to it.) The fiber is from Alpha Stamps.

Not ALL the pages but the more "exciting" ones. :-)

WOYWW #263 -- 4th of July and bird eggs.

Well, another Wednesday is upon us. Which means it's time to share my crafty desk space. Much thanks to Julia who puts on this "show" every week. So glad to see she is doing better...head over to Stamping Ground to see what the fuss is about.

Up until last evening, my desk was pretty clean. And than this happened....

I opened up my container of 4th of July items. Finished one card, which is sitting up by the inks in the top left corner. Another card in the works on the desk. Still not sure exactly what I'll be doing. But I embossed all the fireworks onto white C/S. We'll see..

Also, thank you to Eliza, Carole, and Sharon for these beautiful ATC's. Eliza's envelope, card, and ATC all matched. Wow. Carole sent an extra piece of C/S with a scene and an envelope of extra do-dads. Such a pretty butterfly one from Sharon. Thanks ladies!!

And my dog has been jumping on my crepe myrtle in my backyard for a few days. It's right off my deck. I finally was looking around in the tree to see what had gotten his attention so bad...

I found 3 speckled eggs. Went online to try and figure out what kind of birdies I will see.

And than I saw momma...

She's right there in the center with just her head peeking out. It's a cardinal. :-) Of course, now I am worried about the babies with my dog. I'm afraid he'll scare them and they'll jump out of nest too early. I also read that they don't fly well right away and stay close to nest...which means in my backyard..where the dog will get them. Now I have to be outside with him to keep an eye on the stinker. He gets obsessed with something once he knows it's there!!

Anyhoo...Happy WOYWW!

WOYWW # 262 - finished NAVY album and Savannah

Ah, Wednesday, another mid week upon us. And now we are fully into June and summer mode. Wednesday also means it's time to share my desk with all my fellow crafting folks. Julia, who is the host over at Stamping Ground is on vacation so her link isn't up yet...but do go check it out. Fun to see what everyone is up to...all sorts of crafter's.

Not much happening on my desk. Last night I pretty much finished my Navy album that was sitting for years, knowing I had other things to put in there. A few asked in comments - but I was in the Navy for 9 years from 1988-1997. I spent all of it in Southern California. :-) Well, except for boot camp (Orlando, FL) and "A" School (Memphis, TN).

See, all clean. For the most part. The album is sitting to the side. I swear I had these small clear envelopes to put a couple double sided items in. I'll have to search for it. I also found my letter L or R or whichever it was under one of my TH  ink pads. It fell off and was laying there with the rest of ink pads. Yay.

I realized 4th of July is close upon us so next I'll have to get going on some cards for Independence Day. I received some ATC's from Eliza, Carole, and one other. My desk in kitchen is a mess at the moment and need to sort through everything to get some pics. Mine are sent. At least the ones I could, still waiting on someone's address.

Last week I drove down to Savannah, GA with my sister and spent a couple days there. Lots of walking! And something bit me up good!!!

We visited Ft. Pulaski. You can see all the damage from the Civil War and the rebuilt wall that came down on the left corner.

Took a trail from Fort out towards the Cockspur Lighthouse.

Walked all the way up the circular stairs to the top of the lighthouse on Tybee Island for views all around.

Stopped off at Bonaventure Cemetery. So pretty!!

Forsyth Park fountain...that's me. :-)

Lots of beautiful old homes, especially the Victorian ones. This is the Gingerbread House. Isn't it too cute?

Entrance to Wormsloe Historic Site. Oak trees lining the "driveway".

While walking one of the trails on the site, we saw 4 deer. This one I zoomed in...he was right on the trail watching us. So pretty to see them out in nature, not just your neighborhood.

Tons more pics but don't want to overload you. Next few weeks aren't going to be very productive. I have one day off every week, starting this week until beginning of July. :-/ Overtime.
