WOYWW #247

Well, what do you know? Another Wednesday is upon us. Almost March already too!! And I am sooooooooooo ready for spring. Well, warm weather. Spring is already making itself known around here with buds popping out, cherry blossoms starting to show. Yay. Not much longer.

So, back to Wednesday...this means it's time to share my craft desk. Why? Head over to Julia's Stamping Ground to see what I'm talking about. :-)

Messy. That's what my desk is at the moment. New supplies from scrapbook.com, Hobby Lobby, and a  local craft store. And a new Quick Cards magazine that came with some pretty KaiserCraft paper. New stencils, G45 paper, TH markers, corner punch, St Patty's stuff, paints.

I'll be heading up there in a bit to start putting away some of my new toys. My sis is coming over in a bit too and we'll work on some stuff.

I'll be heading over to ya'll's desks later this evening.

Love Ya

Saturday morning here..watching the US Hockey Team vs Russia. I recorded it so it's almost over for me...Go USA!

Well, it's also the day after Valentine's Day but I have a couple cards to share that I haven't posted yet. :-)

I think these are my favorite 2 cards I made this year.
I used Tim Holtz Distress Paints (fired brick, barn door, victorian velvet, andspun sugar) with a brayer to cover an 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of paper.

Background:
Tim Holtz Hearts stencil with Adirondack Snow Cap paint and Magenta Hue ink. 7 Gypsies alphabet stamps were inked with white pigment ink. Studio G Hearts stamps with Magenta Hue and Walnut Stain DI. I also see a IO heart die that I used...I die cut the heart and used the reverse image to add the ink. I don't think you can see on here really but I also used Gesso Fiber paste to add hearts with a stencil.

The main image is by Lost Coast Designs. I stamped the image twice and cut the head and popped it up. Sakura White and Glitter Gelly roll pens used along halo and border of background.

Friends are like Thighs...

Still dealing with all this ice. And power flicking on and off today. Branches breaking off. It's not good! This ice storm is crazy -- but, by Sunday it's supposed to be in the low 60's. That's Atlanta for ya. Last time after our Snowstorm on a Tuesday, it was 74 on Sunday. LOL.

My BFF's birthday is today and I had made her this card to celebrate. She always seems to find cards for my birthday with two girls or old broads on there to represent us. So here's mine to her...

The gals and sentiment are from Stamping Bella and colored with Copics. The pattern paper is We R Memory Keepers Anthologie and MME Stella Rose 6X6 packs. Added Viva Pearl Pen - Yellow around the scallop border and Viva Glitter Liner - Holo Iridescent on the flowers on skirt. I believe the one layer is a Spellbinders die but can't remember at the moment. Oh, and glossy accents on the sunglasses.

I'm the blonde by the way. :-)

WOYWW #245 -- Icemaggedon

Well, we here in the South, Atlanta to be specific, have been hit again. This time where I live it's not the snow. Nor, here in Atlanta have people been stuck in traffic for 12-16 hours. This time it's the ICE. Woke up this morning to ice covering everything. And the rain/ice pellets are still coming down. Not good.

And today is Wednesday so that means it's time to share my craft desk. (Hopefully will get this done in case power goes out. Lights just dimmed a couple times.) Why am I sharing my desk? Head over to Julia's Stamping Ground

So my desk is fairly clean from last week's Valentine card making. There's still some Valentine stuff sitting back there. I also decided to make a journal page with a Valentine theme. The pages are curled over but I shut the book to flatten it out now. The images are from Lost Coast Designs. Had fun with it...

And here's some pictures from around my house of Icemaggedon...

When I first woke up and stepped outside I saw this bright red beautiful cardinal in my tree.

My crepe myrtle out front is completely covered in ice.

Here's a close up off the end of the crepe myrtle.

Holly bushes in my backyard. The leaves aren't shiny wet. But completely frozen with ice.

And my Chicago Bears flag in my front yard. It is completely iced over. It is frozen in place like this. LOL.

Lots of people without power... :-(

And I woke up to find out someone stole an IRS check I was expecting and opened an account and deposited it. Now I have to go through all the hassle of getting in touch with the IRS and who knows when I will get my money. So frustrating. Plus my credit reports and everything. Sigh. People suck sometimes.

WOYWW #244 - Stamp Expo Goodies

Happy Wednesday Everyone! Here in Atlanta we've had some extreme weather. Last week I shared my Snowmagedden experience -- a couple inches of snow fell around Atlanta and caused a massive gridlock all over the city and surrounding areas. We even made it onto the SNL weekend news. LOL. Then by Sunday the temperature was 74 degrees. I had the backdoor open most of the evening. And, now we are back to colder, rainy weather. And up North is still getting hit with LOTS of snow. I loved the snow (while not being stuck in it) but am ready for spring to get here..

Here was my desk this morning after I unloaded all my purchases from the stamp expo this weekend. (Several pics in this post too...FYI)

Valentine stuff still there waiting on me...and all the new stuff! :-)

I bought several acetate sheets with images already printed on it from Stamp On It!. Just add Crystal Lacquer and glitter to parts of the image (backside) and you have easy card. Also several sheets of stickers.

Some pre-cut cards for more easy cards. And the heart shaped one with the pop up insert - I swear my brain isn't working at the moment and I can't think of the proper term. LOL. Along with some glitter, b-day stamps, and a turkey.

I love IO dies. A couple more heart ones, a basket for Easter. And love the margarita Christmas drink, and hot cocoa stamp.

Rubbernecker has some cute stamps. I bought several last year at the scrapbook expo. The tree and 2 flower sets are from them. The unounted ones are Lost Coast designs (kinda hard to see - one is a boy and dog (winter/Christmas), and the other is a lady but with a "twist". Plus some eggs and another TH pen.

TH heart stencil, and I forgot this company but I saw the dolphins and "had" to have. The turtle is stamped on glossy paper. So pretty.

Here's my desk after making another b-day card for my best friend. Lots of copics were used (I'll be posting the image later on..), my ipad so I can see my pintrest album for copic color combos

And one last one...my finished scarf. This is my first knitting project ever. :-) I'm working on a winter hat right now -- also my first one. We'll see how it turns out.

And if you are wondering why I am going on about my desk space head over to Julia's Stamping Ground to see what the fuss is about.

Birthday Boy

Well, this is my first paper project for 2014. I've been slow going getting up to my craft room. I made this card for my Godson's 3rd Birthday back in January.

The image is by North Coast Creations - Birthday Murphy. I colored with Copics and added Viva Glitter Liner (Holo Iridescent) to the birthday hat. The cute little dog was cut out with a Spellbinders Circles Large die. I used my Cricut to make the larger balloons. Haven't used it in I can't remember how long. :-) One balloon was popped up for dimension. I added dots with the Glitter Liner and the #3 with Stickles True Blue. The striped paper was from stash.
