WOYWW #259 Beach Mini Album in progress

Wednesday is here yet again. Middle of the work week for some....start of mine. Boooo! LOL. Anywhoo....since it is Wednesday it means it's time to share my crafty desk. Why? Head over to Julia's Stamping Ground to have a looksie. She'll (and we) will be celebrating the 5th year of this adventure.

Here's my desk...

Lots and lots of "stuff" on there. Paper, dies, TH items, ink pads, stickers, etc. I'm almost done with another mini album for my best friend. I'll be done with it by next Wednesday (or should be!!).

Here's all the pages done so far on the left. The right has the back cover and some Ron Jon surf shop stickers that will be added.

Sneak peak at some pages...this is the front cover. I glued down some linen I found at a craft store in Oklahoma City. IO dies for the shells (and embossed). The Myrtle Beach words and palm tree were from a laser die that was too big so just used those two items.

One of the pages using stickers, a Die Versions die that's been embossed and some Mudd Puddles for sand.

Another Die Versions die (love the beach stuff) and some flower stickers.

That's it for now....just trying to get this done in between yard work and house work and work and and and...LOL. Speaking of yard work...stupid me tried pulling of gardening gloves on Saturday and broke my front tooth. OMG!! So, I have to get a crown now. It was already weak since it had a filling in it since childhood.

Happy WOYWW!!

  1. Gita,

Wow you are really steaming ahead with the journals, it is strange we are in Autumn and you are in Summer. I so want to go to Oaklahoma City one day and I will. I worked with Kerry Vincent late last year on a show and she lives in Oaklahoma City. Hope the tooth gets sorted soon, how horrible.

Have a great week and happy crafting.

  5. Ouch. DS is off to have his pulled tomorrow (2nd wisdom tooth gone) so stocked up on mashed potatoes and yogurt and soup. Not fun And Myrtle Beach! I'm more of a Jersey Shore gal myself but I've always heard MB is lovely . Not entirely sure what Mudd Puddles are but they do look like sand so... RESULT! :)

    Happy near 5 year WOYWW!

  6. Oowwww! Teeth are not for gardening. Were they cement gloves?! Looks like a little push and shove work space. ;) I like my tags standing like creative soldiers up there. On left, tags I've made and in the right, tags I've received. Thanks for the earlier visit! Hugs and Happy WOYWW! Nan G #10

  8. ouchie on the crown! I have been so terrified of that happening to the boy child he was forever chewing on pepsi can tabs ( I am rolling my eyes ) and mentally telling my self gloves are now off limits for teeth too. Your album looks like its has fabulous textures going on with fun colors :) ~Stacy #85

  9. Ouch on your crown! I've only broken a tooth which then required a crown and that was not fun. What an unusual way to break it. Your album looks wonderful!! Thanks for popping by and Happy WOYWW!

  15. The journal looks great...love all the texture and dimension. Now how many times have you said to yourself...I shouldn't do that...? I know I have to tell myself not to use teeth as a tool. Carole #52

  18. What an awesome little album, love all your die cuts and embellishments, you're really making this special for your friend. I'm sure she's going to love it. I still use my teeth to open things, and everytime I do, I say to myself that probably wasn't the best idea!

  19. Awesome! That is some wonderfully steady activity there. Too bad it had to end with a broken tooth. That shouldn't have to be a trade off, though. Go to the dentist, get a new crown, have it properly fitted and that would be the real cap-off of the whole track. Take care! :)
