WOYWW #221 ~ Sleepless in Atlanta!

It's Wednesday! My weekend! Again, another sleeplessness night! Gahhh! I had a horrible headache yesterday and than woke up at 1am and puttered around craft room. And than was up at 6:45am. Which is way too early for me. :-)

Anyway, since it is Wednesday it's time to share my craft desk with all my fellow crafter's. All hosted by the wonderful Julia at Stamping Ground.

The pic is a little dark. I even tried to lighten it. It was barely light outside. Plus, I think my camera is acting wonky. I dropped it a few weeks ago. Seriously, I've dropped like 3 cameras in the last 5 years or so. :-(

On my desk (which I cleaned up some last night) is a Stampotique stamp, a new House Mouse stamp for Halloween and some new Kraftin' Kimmie stamps too. The little scraps of paper are from some cards I made that I needed to mask. The stamps are still there needing to be cleaned. A large candy corn and a mini one. So there was a Candy Corn Gang on my cards.

That's it. I'm hoping to get up there are get some more cards done this weekend.

Happy WOYWW!!

Tim Holtz August Tag 2013

Welcome to some new followers! I appreciate you taking the time to follow me! The weather is finally staying dry and sunny. Clear blue skies! So nice! However, I know other places are still having wonky weather, like the Midwest right now. Hope y'all are staying cool and avoiding the heat!

Here's my tag I'm entering for the August challenge at Tim Holtz.

Pretty much followed the instructions.

Here's the stamps I used:
7 Gypsies (word background), Tim Holtz The Journey (airplane, compass, ticket), Tim Holtz City Central (stars), Tim Holtz French Market (stamp and postmark at very top right corner), TPC Studio Bon Voyage (sentiment).

I used Spiced Marmalade and Faded Jeans for my colors. The background was made with Pumice Stone and Weathered Wood stains.

WOYWW #220

Happy Wednesday Y'all!! We've had more rain here, more gloomy weather, sort of fall weather this weekend. I was wearing long sleeve shirts to work! What gives?! It's still mid-August. I've only experienced temps in the 90's during this time of year here in the South. What has Mother Nature in store for winter? Oh boy....

So, it is Wednesday so that means it's also time to share my crafty workdesk with you. All brought to you by the wonderful Julia at Stamping Ground who puts all this together.

So there ya have it. My plan was to clean it off last night so it's all ready for me the next couple days. Didn't happen. On it is my new Stampin' Up paper cutter to the left. There are some Tim Holtz stamps along the right side, waiting to get my tag done for August. And the Halloween stuff that's been sitting on my desk. Along with some Sparkle N Sprinkle stamps.

That's it for me...I've barely woke up, got my cup of coffee and will be visiting some desks this morning and throughout my day's off.

Thanks for popping over and taking a peek!

God and Angels Watch Over You

The last few days here in Georgia have felt like Fall weather already and it's only mid August. What in the world has winter in store for us? Unusual spring, summer...

Here's a card I made for Sparkle N Sprinkle using the Medallions stamp set.

I stamped the Snowflake Medallion with Versamark and than poured Holiday Blue embossing powder over the stamped images and heat set. I added Blue Jewel glitter to center of medallions. The sentiment was also stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with the Holiday Blue embossing powder.
Super Easy card to put together!

Garden Of Life

Happy Wednesday Everyone. For most it is Hump Day but for me it is the weekend. Unfortunately, I also have to work overtime tonight.

However, here is a card I made for Sparkle N Sprinkle using a newer set, Dahlia

Full instructions and products used can be found here.

Here's a close-up:

I added touches of glitter to the flowers and flocking powder around the border. One flower is popped up for dimension.

WOYWW #219

It's Wednesday. #1 - that means it's the 3rd Wednesday I've had problems sleeping. Not sure what is going on there. Strange for me! And what's funny is I kept dreaming or thinking about card designs!!!! Can you believe it? LOL.

And #2, it's time to share our desks over at Stamping Ground hosted by Julia. Head on over and check it out if you dare.

Two pics of the desk today...the first is the left side. The album is where I am now storing my Spellbinder dies. Not all are in there. As you can see it is already not shutting properly. Which is fine. I also bought some cubes to store markers. There is my collection of Copics so far. You see 4 cubes and I have 4 more. They're bigger than I expected. LOL. But they're gonna work great I think.

The right side has a pile of Halloween stamps and paper and what not. The center has some Copic books on coloring, Sparkle N Sprinkle stamps that I still need to finish a couple samples for...and under that are some items I bought at Alpha Stamps.

That's it for me today....gotta go in and work some overtime tonight. :-( I just hope the weather will be nice!!

Oh, and I randomly selected (through Random.org) a number and Neet came up....so she'll be getting a little goodie box. :-)

WOYWW? #218

I'm not sure what is going on with Wednesday's for me...last week I woke up at 0 dark thirty and couldn't sleep. This morning, after going to bed at 1am, I awoke at 5am. Luckily I DID fall back asleep. And it's a dark, gloomy, rainy kinda day. Ah well, I won't feel guilty crafting right? But, I will feel guilty if I don't get some housework done. :-/

Anywho....today IS Wednesday and that means it's time to share my crafty desk with all my fellow crafters. Head over to Ms. Julia's desk at Stamping Ground where all the fun begins. :-)

So here it is...I've been off for a few days so managed to get one big photo folder done from my Munich trip. The pile of paper is still sitting to the left there and you can baaaarely see it sticking into the picture. I also finished a few samples for my DT (almost caught up for the month there!!) And finished 3 identical cards for Operation Write Home (OWH). What else you see it the mess accompanied from all that card making. Glitter (not for OWH!), spellbinder dies, ink, etc..

I've been contemplating how to store my Spellbinder dies..I think I've decided on this...

An 8X8 photo album. I cut up plastic page dividers and added magnetic strips and the die. Of course, the initial pages aren't filled up yet and it's already not closing properly...so we'll see.

A bit of "nature"...so I knew there was something living under my one front step. Saw it once and with the arrival of rats I figured that's what it was....but, I was wrong.

I saw this little leafy bug on my front porch, right outside my doorstep last week. When I went to make sure the door was locked before leaving.....

this is what I see......

a chipmunk happily munching away on the leafy bug....I have video too. It was too funny watching.

P.S. I almost forgot.....I've never sent out a RAK or a give-away but I want to do something here....so if you leave a comment here (and are following me) I will send out a small goodie box of some crafty things. I'll pick out a random name from all the comments. So, leave a comment, share this if you'd like...

Garden of Life

I've taken a few days off and since nothing developed as far as a getaway I'm taking it easy and catching up on crafts.

Here's another card I made for Sparkle N Sprinkle. It reminds me of my zinnia's on my back porch.

I stamped the Dahlia image three times and colored with Copics. Fussy cut and assembled with mounting tape. I added Guava Nectar glitter along the edges of each petal and around the center of top layer.

The flower is sitting on a Spellbinders Labels One die. I added Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Bundled Sage and Peeled Paint. The pattern paper is from Basic Grey "Out of Print" 6X6 pad.

The sentiments was stamped, die cut with Spellbinders Labels One and sponged with Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo.
