WOYWW #199

Happy Wednesday folks! Another day to take a look and see what all the crafty peeps are up to out there....all hosted by Julia at Stamping Ground. So yesterday on my way to work I saw snow. SNOW! We are one week into Spring here in the South and there's snow. What the .. ?! I had my car in the body shop for 2 weeks as well after it was rear ended back in November. Finally got it back this morning. Yay!

Onto my desk....

I actually broke out my mixed media journal book and started my very first page. So that's what you see on my desk...paints, gel mediums, stencils. And my spring themed journal page. Not sure if I am 100% in love but I think it looks okay. :-)  Here's a close up....

And last week I had some Stampin' Up cards tossed on my desk that some wanted to see....here they are..

I have the large swallowtail stamp already and can't wait to play with it some more. The last one is my favorite and will keep on display in my craft room. The lady who I go to had tatted the design at the bottom of the card for each of us. Isn't that sweet? It is so pretty.

Okay, that's it from me this morning....Happy WOYWW!!

  2. Hi Gita, I love the bright colours you have used on your journal page, has cheered me up on this cold miserable day (It is snowing here in the uk too) we are not to bad where I live, but some places up the north of the country are really having a bad time of it. I like all your cards too but, especially that beautiful swallow tail butterfly, which stamp have you used? Hope you have a great day and thanks for your earlier visit Hugs Mo x #62

  9. I would have to have a loan car there is no way I could cope without one. I love your journal page a great start. Also live those cards, you do make beautiful cards.

Oh and the autumn season has started here in Australia so maybe no swimming in the pool this side of summer, bummer that we had to go without during the summer we have just left, but that is what happens when Gracie's muck you around, anyway the yard is looking good regardless

    Happy Easter and WOYWW

  10. What a beautiful spring page you have created on your journal, it looks like you had a lot of fun making it! Thanks for stopping by my blog #172 Cathryn. You said you have not used your cricut for awhile...collecting dust eh???? That is not good for your poor little cricut. I have been taking online courses on how to use mine, and how to use the craftroom, and I am scheduled to take another one on the first of May...oh so many ways to use it!!!! I am both a card maker and a scrap booker, so I am trying to find as many ways to use it as possible. I only have a few cartridges, a few stamps, a few of this and that, so I try to make as much use of what I have. Any hoot, beautiful cards, great looking desk...great to have you stop by my little part of the world!!! And great to see yours!

Yep, we have been having Spring snow here in the UK too. So cold with biting winds too.
Love that butterfly card, striking colour but I would never have thought of using such a big butterfly yet it looks stunning. Thanks for showing how well it works. The other cards are lovely too and I like your new journal page.
    Happy Easter.
