WOYWW? #195

Welcome to Wednesday. That time of week to share our crafty workspaces over at What's on Your Workdesk? Wednesday hosted by Julia at Stamping Ground. It's fun and interesting to see what everyone is up too. And hey, you might get some inspiration along the way....

Less messy than last week. That's for sure. I cleaned up last's weeks mess, worked on some projects this weekend, and this is what I have there now. I received some new products (new for me, and new for store) as part of the Design Team for Sparkle n Sprinkle. I have my Graphic 45 stuff out and have been working on my 8X8 easel calendar. Also have some new Memento ink I bought through Sparkle N Sprinkle. And some snacks...the Red Vines. Of course, I really shouldn't be eating that. I did do a bit of re-organizing on my desk and pegboard. Oh, and I won a cute wheelbarrow with sunflowers wood stamp by PSX on ebay too.

That's it for to enjoy my morning coffee, play my Zynga games, visit a few desks, walk the dogs, and off to work. Happy WOYWW!!!

Victorian Bicycle

Hello Everyone! Apparently I am starting to get hit with the spam comments now. Just recently started  but not too bad! Really? Why do people do this?! Sheesh....

Here's an idea I think I found on Pintrest using the Stampin' Up! Feeling Sentimental stamp set.

I love how this creates motion. I stamped using Versafine Vintage Sepia. Once full strength and I may have lightly tapped back onto ink for second stamp but than just stamped what was left on stamp a couple more times. The background paper is by Paper Pizzazz. I love it, the image looks like an old time newspaper with images. The sentiment is from Just Rite - Large Fancy Sentiments.

This was an easy card to recreate several times. I made 4 to send to OWH. I'm trying every month to make more than the previous. This month I succeeded. :-)

Angel In Disguise

So I keep going back and forth today whether I want to drive a little ways up to some craft stores. Still haven't decided! LOL.

But, here's a card to share that I made with some new purchases from the stamp show. I made a few of these and will be sending onward to OWH.

I used Distress Inks for the background (Picked Raspberry, Tumbled Glass, Mowed Lawn) and than used a TCW mini harlequin template to add Black soot DI with a dauber. The image and sentiment are one stamp by Lost Coast Designs (my stamp show purchase). Sprayed some iridescent glimmer mist over the background too.

One card I used maybe mustard seed in place of the tumbled glass which also came out great. I need to buy a re-inker for this blue..

Have a great weekend!!

Shopping Bag Birthday Card

Last month when I went to my Stampin' Up demonstrator's house for the monthly get together we made these cute shopping bag cards. Great for using up scrap paper.

I looked through my scrap paper and found 3 different pieces of black pattern paper and decided to use it for this card. You can find instructions for this card  at Stampin' Up! Digital Diva's blog. She has a video towards the bottom. It's really super easy. The sentiment is from Just Rite - Fancy Sentiments.

I ended up making 4 of these cards and will be sending them off for OWH.

WOYWW? #194

So, I was missing last week from What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday, hosted by Julia over at Stamping Ground. Sometimes between my work hours and the amount of time I have in the morning before work I don't have enough time to post. Last Wednesday as soon as I woke up I had to make brownies of sorts for work and than the termite inspector came....

Here's my desk as of yesterday morning...

My VERY messy desk for all to see. I haven't cleaned up at all from the weekend. You can see my 8X8 Graphic 45 calendar easel on the right that I haven't worked on since the weekend before. I bought some new punches by Martha Stewart (on sale + a coupon). Lots of glitter out for the monthly Sparkle N Sprinkle blog. Just all sorts of stuff....pens, ink pads, stamps that need to be cleaned.

And remember my others desk...the original one?

I am using it as my Cuttlebug embossing and die station right now. My itty bitty Cricut is sitting there off to the side. And the box I had used to spray some shimmer glitter onto projects.

Last week I also was surprised to be given TWO Liebster Awards (blogs under 200 followers) by Eliza at Queenartoypia and Queen Lightwell at Gifts from Deeyll. So, again, thank you to both of you for thinking I have a blog that is worth checking out. :-)

Happy Wednesday and I will try to visit as many as I can over the next few days (work again, gets in the way, LOL).

Serena the Mermaid

No sunshine today apparently. More rain had come overnight. Which is fine because we were in a drought here in Georgia so all this rain we've been getting has put us out of it. So, that's good. And the weekend is over so back to work tonight I go.

In the meantime, here's a card I made for Sparkle N Sprinkle using their new stamp set - Serena.

She's so pretty and I had fun coloring her in and adding glitter. I colored her with Twinkling H2O's. I added Misty Isles glitter to her hair, Fascination glitter to her body, and Carnation glitter to the center of the flowers. I also took a sheet of Be Creative adhesive tape and die cut with Spellbinders and than sprinkled the Fascination glitter over the whole die cut sheet. The pattern paper is by The Paper Studio - A Day at the Beach. The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Happy Monday everyone!! It's President's Day here in the States. I am one of those people who doesn't get a 3 day weekend out of it. (Unless I specifically take a vacation day.) Just one of those jobs where you can't close up!!

Here's a tag I made for Tim Holtz's February tag/challenge.

I used the Fire Brick distress stain on the base of the tag. Distressed the edges and than swiped Black Soot DI around the edge. I used Stampin' Up - You Are Loved set for the background image, the main image, and the sentiment. Added some glossy accents to the punched out hearts at the top. Also swiped some Pewter Distress Stain with my finger randomly across tag. The ribbon at the top is some Tim Holtz tissue tape that I just folded in half and crinkled up.

Sassy Britches

The sun is finally out and it looks so pretty out....but still cold. I'm sure spring weather is on it's way...the cherry blossoms are blooming so it's gotta be, right?!

A couple weeks ago I bought several Dylusion stamp sets and a few more ink sprays. Last weekend I got a chance to play with them. Boy, do I love these sprays -- so vibrant!! (as you can see, the picture was taken on a gloomy, wet day.)

I used Vibrant Turquoise, Bubblegum Pink, Pure Sunshine, and Fresh Lime for the background. I also randomly stamped a couple stamps from the Background Love set just like Dyan would (didn't mount the stamp, just quickly rolled onto sections of background). Than I used the Dotted Flowers stencils and Adirondack acrylic dabber - Pearl and randomly added dots to card. Also used the reverse side.

Than I colored in Ruby Rainbow with the Dylusion ink sprays and a paintbrush. Also gave her some wings. Popped up her head from the base of card. Lastly, used one of the sentiments from the Say It How It Is stamp set. Love, love the sentiments. They are so fun!!! And this one is funny 'cause at work I had on some black (almost knee length) boots w/ heels and some metal accents near ankle and this guy said I had on my sassy boots. LOL!

I'm entering this card into the Following challenges:

Simon Says Stamp and Show- Something Messy challenge.

White Tulle Dress Form

Gosh, last month after being sick I just got way behind on certain things and a bit disorganized I am finding out. Yikes!!

Here's a card I made last month for Sparkle N Sprinkle.

I really enjoyed making different cards using this dress form. For this one, I used White Detail embossing powder for the background flowers, the dress form and the sentiment. I used Raspberry and Pink Sherbet alcohol inks to create the pink-ish background. On each side of the dress form is a Memory Box die (Amira Flourish). Than I just added some white tulle and a ribbon on the bottom half of the dress form. Too cute!!

So amongst a hectic week and not alot of time to post this week I found out that TWO wonderful ladies nominated my blog for the Liebster Award: Eliza over at Queenartoypia and the Queen Lightwell at Gifts from Deeyll

Sparkle N Sprinkle Monochromatic Blog Hop

Hello everyone and welcome to Sparkle N Sprinkle's February Monochromatic blog hop. So, monochromatic is the theme which means all colors on the card must be from the same hue. If you popped over from Keri Brown than you are in the right place. If not, than you might want to head to the Sparkle N Sprinkle blog to be eligible for the prizes!! Make sure to comment on everyone's blog's because some of the prizes are hidden. :-) This blog hop will be two days long (Feb 14-15).

For this hop I made two cards to share. The first is mainly pink. :-) I used the Cherry Blossom Branch for my image. It can also be found on the Dark Tulip stamp set. For full instructions click here.

My second card is for March -- celebrating St. Patty's Day. I used the Leprechaun digi by Michelle Perkett. Full instruction can be found here

Bring On The Chocolates!

Watching the Grammy's (sightly pre-recorded so I can fast forward through commercials), cleaning, and attempting to organize this rainy Sunday evening. One little thunder earlier and my little pup gets all scared. She does not like 'em anymore. Poor thing!

Here's one last Valentine card to share with you...

Stamps are by Art Impressions. Added Crystal Lacquer to her glasses and heart on bracelet. Sparkling Snow glitter to white part of hat. Golden Rod stickles to bracelet and earring. Heart shaped rhinestone onto earring too. Spritzed some Glimmer Mist onto card. I just love this gal!

Graphic 45 Calendar (January-April)

Trying to catch up with crafting stuff, house stuff, etc today...yesterday managed to work on a few things in the craft room including a couple more calendar pages.

Close up so you can see ribbons

I'm following along with directions I received from a local craft store. Some embellishments are my own like the flowers on April, added and extra ribbon for March.

Initially I wasn't keen on the calendar but you can use it every year if you just write the dates in pencil. This way can erase and change! :-)

I Scream, You Scream, We All Scream...

for Ice-Cream!!! Who doesn't love ice-cream?? :-) Anyway...I have a 3 day weekend and hopefully I can get quite a bit done with crafting and cleaning! I do gotta run to the store and get a new paper trimmer.

Here's a birthday card I made for a friend of mine...

This is the new Hero Arts stamp set "Fantastic Birthday". Too cute! (I stamped a couple extra ice cream scoops to the cone. :-D. I also tried these new NEON ink pads. Pink, Green, and Yellow. Such a bright, festive card.

Ok, off I go...I have plenty more cards to share too! And my Graphic 45 calendar I am working on...

WOYWW? #192

Wow, it's Wednesday again! Wasn't it just Wednesday the other day? Seesh.
So, here we go again sharing our crafty spaces with everyone in blog land which is hosted by Ms. Julia at Stamping Ground.

Let's get going...

Here's my desk. Monday night I started working on my 8X8 easel calendar using Graphic 45 paper. The finished product looks so cute! I have instructions from the local stamp store. Plus there are some other stamps,, glitter, etc from projects I am either currently working on or finished over the weekend.

I also went to the stamp show on Saturday. Forgot to take pictures ladies. :-( I do have one of my stash....

Quite a bit. :-) I bought stamps from Our Daily Bread (if you bought 4 get one free. Plus if spend $40 get free stamp and flower soft), Impression Obsession, Lost Coast Designs, and Stamp Camp. Also bought Dylusion ink sprays and some other misc. stuff.

It wasn't THAT big of a show. I did meet up with some ladies that I am on a Design Team with at Sparkle N Sprinkle. This was our first time meeting. So that was nice. Plus I kept running into a couple other gals from my Stampin' Up club.

Have a great week!!

Blast from the Past

A couple months or so ago I was going through some boxes in my craft closet. I have several with cards that I've received and others with cards that my mom kept over the years that I sent to her and my dad. She even saved cards from when I was a kid!! (When she passed, my sisters all kept our cards.)

Here's some that I made in the last 14 years or so. I still have the bear and Valentine sentiment stamp.

Back in 1998 I cross-stitched (with beads too) several cards for family and friends. There were several designs. This was towards the end of my cross stitching days.

And than there was this one from my nephew's son...isn't it too cute?! Well, my sister (his grandmother) helped. :-)

How about anyone else? Do you keep cards people send to you? Or have older cards that you made for others that have been passed down?

Sweet Friend

Happy Sunday! Quite chilly last night. Had a bit of rain last night and this morning things were a bit frozen over. The dogs were sliding running down the deck to get into the yard this morning. My poor female has tall, skinny legs like a deer and goes all over the place.

Valentine's is fast approaching and here's a card I made a few weeks ago. Today I plan on heading up to my craft room and work on some projects and hopefully play with new "toys" I bought yesterday at the stamp show.

Is this such a cute image? The stamp is by Stampavie/Penny Johnson. I colored with Copics and added Crystal Lacquer on the hearts. Red paper is by Stampin' Up (Riding Hood Red). I cut the one background behind image with scissors and it's popped up from card. And used a heart embossing folder on the white CS. The sentiment is from Stampin' Up.
