What's on your Workdesk? Wednesday #183

Good Morning! Well, it's into December already here but the first few days here in the South sure doesn't feel like it. It's been in the low 70's.

I've been missing from WOYWW the last couple weeks. Just not enough time in the morning to get a blog out and too tired the night before. So here I am. What, may you ask is this all about? It's a chance for all us crafter's to have a little snoop and see what our desks or workspaces are up to (or not!). :-) And it's hosted by the great Ms. Julia at Stamping Ground

My workspace this weekend is actually my floor. I bought a bunch of picks at Hobby Lobby to make a couple Christmas arrangements. On the left side are leftovers for a gold/red arrangement. And on the right side are ones for a pink/silver that I still need to make. And on the far right is all my paper mess from my usual card-making/scrapbooking hobby. Here's the one arrangement I made sitting in my kitchen....

So that's it for me...not a whole lot going on. Off I go for the short morning I have before it's time to get ready for work this evening. Tomorrow we are having a Holiday potluck lunch so will have to stop at store this evening and pick something up. No time to make anything, it'll just be a heat and serve kind of thing. That's what happens when you work crazy hours.

Happy WOYWW!

  3. Funny how many crafters work on the floor. Mine is just a dumping ground! That is a lovely arrangement. Happy Wednesday. :o)

    1. Ha! Mine is usually a dumping ground too. You can't see the whole room. Typically I don't work on the floor but for this it's just easier for me. :-)

  4. Brigita,

You will have to teach me how to make a pretty arrangement like that. I love it. I like putting things like that in my home especially during the holidays.

    1. Thanks Belinda. I don't think I'm THAT good at making arrangements. My sister now does wonderful stuff. She has the eye for it.

  8. That's the wording - pot luck - I pondered over what to call our lunch at the stamping club for ages - some called it one thing, some another. Thanks!
Love that decoration you have made - incredible. Good luck with the things on the floor for another one.

  9. You do work crazy hours, crikey. I love a pot luck, we do that for crop days once a month, always a feast! With all the hours you do, and you're MAKING wreaths....just goes to show that the therapy and laxative of making stuff is very real!

  11. Wow, your Christmas arrangement is absolutely gorgeous. You are so clever.
I know we moan about the cold here in the UK, but at least it feels seasonal. It would be very strange to have a hot Christmas.
Hope your preparations go well and thanks for visitng me already.
    Happy WOYWW

    1. I lived in Southern California and one of my first Christmas' out there it WAS hot. Shorts kind of weather. It was so bizarre to me growing up in Chicago. But, after 20 years of living there you got used to it (of course, it wasn't always THAT warm). now I'm in the South where there are sort of winters. :-)

  12. This heat is kind of crazy, huh? I'm over in OK and I finished painting the exterior of my house this week...its been *that* warm! Anyways, how lovely that you've so much fab floorspace to sprawl out in, absolutely vital for dealing with all those floral bits and pieces. From your arrangement I would say you are pretty talented at this sort of thing, even if you think your sister is better...why, that's just you being a fab sister, don't you know? ;) I mean, what kind of sister would think she is better than her sister?! lol Thanks for sharing, Deeyll #122

    1. LOL. I guess it runs in the family. My mom was a wonderful talented crafter of sorts, both my sisters are artsy too. :-)

    1. Aww. Thanks April. I seriously don't think I 'm good at picking out flowers, etc to put in arrangements. Christmas is easier with sticking to gold/red, silver/pink. etc.
