WOYWW #176

Happy Wednesday! It's that time of week again...time to snoop around everyone's desk across this crafty blogging world at What's On Your Workdesk? Wednesday where Ms. Julia is our wonderful hostess.

So there's my desk. I didn't get much done this weekend. I posted a couple CAS cards on a new sketch challenge blog (you can check that out if you want on the post a couple before this one). That's where the skull (a new purchase this weekend) and my SNS blossoms come in. A fall card in the back waiting to be finished. Some new stamps and ink pads.

This weekend I took a couple classes at some local stamp store. The first one was some fall watercolor images from Art Impressions. This was actually the second of two classes and I didn't bring any of my tools so just quickly watercolored in the images and than went shopping. :-)

The first class was this fall set that we colored with Copics. I liked this one better, smaller class, and I am still learning how to blend and all that with Copic markers. I actually signed up for a winter one too. I'm really not sure why it is orienting itself sideways. It shows correctly in my pics folder and everything. If anyone has a clue..please share.

While at the stores I also spent way too much money on new goodies. LOL. So now I need to plop my tush down and get to work using some of my new "toys".

  1. Look at all those lovely inks and stamps! This is such a good shot of your work space--I feel like you are sitting right there, creating something. I need to find a class--I think our Michaels has one on distressed stamping--any kind of class will inspire me! Take care Gita, and thanks for visiting me too. Happy WOYWW! Sandy Leigh #11

  8. Hi Gita thanks for the visit, I had a similar problem with my photos and it was something to do with the compatibility between blog and camera. I had a wander on line and found help to sort it.
Loving your skeleton stamp and autumnal coloured card.
Have a super Wednesday, hugs Erika.

  10. Another suggestion on your picture alignment issue Gita - I have found that if I don't physically save changes I make to the orientation/size of my photos before uploading them to blogger they revert to the original images.
So know what you mean about spending too much and your right, it's time to use everything now! Happy WOYWW, hugs Buttons #119

  12. What a lot of eye candy! I love coming home after a stamp related spree! As my husband says, you may have spent some money, but it's still cheaper than therapy!

  13. Love your images you have coloured and the finished cards. I had a problem with pictures turning sideways and found that if I used picasaweb.google.com it shows all my blogger pictures and you can turn then and save then upload from here and it fixes the problem - dont know why blogger does this sometimes but it fixed it for me - have a great week

  15. Fabulous colouring with the copics, I've gone off mine in favour of Prismas. Lovely pic of your workdesk too and money is made to be spent esp in craft shops!
Take care, have a lovely week.

    1. In the class, there was this hard plastic board that we swiped a bunch of the watercolor pens onto and than you dab a paintbrush in water and pick up some color that you than paint your image. Pretty easy, I think you can find some clips on you tube.

  21. Ooh you've been busy!! I like the autumn card in the background. Interesting to read of your workshop experience. I'm very low on Copic experience...I kinda didn't get on with them straight away and haven't kept trying. Silly huh. I like that you've coloured a proper background on the images, I probably wouldn't have thought of that...gives them real hand drawn sketch look.
