Gobble Gobble

This will be the last of the cards I make until after Thanksgiving. Than it'll be a mad dash to finish Christmas cards all while unpacking and getting settled into a new home. :-)

First card I used the Storybook Cricut Cartridge for the lettering at about 3/4" I believe. Than rolled it through the Xyron and added glitter.
Leaves - Harvest Crafts
Ribbon - Autumn Inspirations

Gobble Gobble
The turkey was cut using the Create a Critter Cricut cartridge at about 2 1/2 - 2 3/4". I added orange craft glitter to part of the feathery tail. I used a pop dot to raise the body of the turkey from the feathers. Also added chocolate brown embossing powder to the hat.
Ribbon - Harvest Crafts

Happy Thanksgiving Y'all.

WOYWW

I haven't posted to WOYWW in about a couple months probably. Or almost! I haven't been up to much at my own work desk. But, I have been creating. I found a local shop to go and paint. I'm having fun and actually working on a personal painting of the Chicago skyline at sunset (which is where I grew up).

Here's last weeks session --

I'm super excited to see what the finished painting will look like. Last week I started on all the lights inside the buildings. Very tedious work but looking good!!

Here's a couple other paintings I made -- the first one is a beachy scene that turned out really good and my Halloween one that I was not happy with the pumpkin face but when I took a step back I actually like the way it turned out..

Well, that's what I've been up to .... in the middle of packing for another move. This one permanent. Will be closing on a house soon. :-)

P.S. If you'd like to participate, head over to Stamping Ground and add your desk, or just take a looksie at what others are up to..

Turkey Day

I had started off on such a good roll back in July & August to make all my holiday cards and than slacked off. A couple weeks ago though, I did manage to make a couple more Thanksgiving cards.

Background (and feathers) by DCWV
Turkey is cut out at 3" from the Cricut Simply Charmed cartridge. I used different patterns for the feathers and just cut and pasted together.
Stickles - Golden Rod, around the feathers.
Some ivory lace and Recolletions adhesive embellishments.
Googly eyes.

Here's the inside of the first card:

Second card is almost the same as the first one...

Background and feathers by DCWV
Turkey is cut at 3" using Cricut Simpy Charmed cartridge. Same as the first one.
Gobble Gobble stamp - AAW Printworks (Hobby Lobby)
Golden Rod Stickles around feathers.
Sew Easy straight stitch (first time using) using brown jute. I had an old mouse pad that worked pretty well.
Googly Eyes.

Happy Thanksgiving!
