Velvety Pink Flower

I was at a rubber stamp store the other day and found some new glitter to play with...(well, new for me, apparently it's been around after searching the 'net)...Jewel Glitter Ritz!!! Love it!!

I wanted to quickly play with some of it the other day and made this simple card.  The majority of the card was complete from a crop event last year in San Diego. I had never finished it because I didn't care for the stamped images.

Anyway...I think it worked perfectly with my glitter project.
If you haven't ever tried using the micro fine glitter, and like glitter, than you must try it! After rubbing it into the tape sheet (burnishing) it feels like velvet. Very very smooth texture. Love it!!!
I used the Elizabeth craft designs peel off stickers, Starform transfer sheets, Be Creative Tape sheets and 4 glitters by Jewel Glitter Ritz (Rose, Burgundy, Stardust, and Sweet Basil).

It was actually quite easy. I had gotten a tutorial from the owner of the rubber stamp store so had an idea of what I was doing. Now I want to figure out different methods so I have more options than just the peel off stickers....

Vase full of Flowers

A couple weeks ago I found a new "toy" to play with....Flower Soft. I love You Tube and blogs...get so many new ideas!!!

Yesterday I played with a couple of the Flower Soft jars I bought and made this sweet card...

The background paper is by Penny Lane (Chic Stripes & Green Polka Dots) and added purple ribbon.

I used my round circle cutter from Creative Memories for the stamped image backgrounds. The image is from Lockhart Stamp Co. and I purchased it at a local store the other day. The two jars of Flower Soft that I bought and used here are Fuchsia and Meadow. Just add their glue to where you want the "flowers" to go and sprinkle it on the image and let it dry. Very easy! I added some stitching around the circle with my purple Stickle glitter.

We'll see how it does going through the mail...the machines at the USPS might be a bit too rough for it. :-(

Tropical Pineapple Drink

I really like my Life Is A Beach cricut cartridge...there are so many cute images!!

Yesterday I made this yummy card (can you say a card is yummy?...well, I am. LOL).

The background paper is by The Paper Studio from their 4.5 X 6.5 set called "A Day at the Beach".

I cut the pineapple image from my Life is a Beach cricut cartridge at 4.04" using my new Gypsy (which I really like..). I used a sponge dauber to add some green and brown ink all over the pineapple itself. Than I added some pink glitter on the umbrella and 3D lacquer on the cherry and orange rind.

The cute flowers are from Impressions Collection "Got Flowers" and I added some bling in the center.

The "Aloha" sentiment is from Scrappy Moms called "Sun Kissed". I used my scallop punch from Stampin' Up for the sentiment background.

The sentiment and the pineapple drink are both raised using the pop up dots.

Cheers!

Sparkly Blue Stars

Besides the "I Pledge of Allegiance" cards I made today, I also made this card...

I had some embossed red paper with small dots that I used as the background. Than I added a 1" strip of metallic paper.

I cut the stars from the "George and Basic Shapes" Cricut cartridge. I used the Star2 shape (p. 94) at 1 1/2". I than ran the stars through my Xyron sticker maker and added the sparkly blue glitter.

I used pop up dots to add the stickers onto the card.

That's it....really simple and easy.

I Pledge of Allegiance

I found a new kind of "stamp" to play with...digi stamps. New for me at least. :-)

I made 3 different versions using the "I Pledge of Allegiance" digi-stamp by Squigglefly. I printed them on thin, white card stock at about 4" high or so.

Had alot of fun playing with the different ribbon, stickers, and paper I bought.

I used watercolor pencils to color in all the stamps and than used my Versamark watermark pen to blend the colors in a bit. Less of a crayon look and more of a marker look.

The star stickers on the first 2 cards are from K & Company called "Americana Glitter Star Pillow" stickers.

The ribbon I bought at Michael's craft store.

The paper on the first card is by Creative Imaginations and the second card the red paper is also by Creative Imaginations (Red Star). The blue glitter paper underneath the red star paper is by Recollections Signature (Marine).

On the last card I used my new Gypsy to print out the "4th of July" letters from the Alphalicious cartridge at .95". I than used a red ink pad and my sponge to add a "vintage" look.

Also, on all 3 cards I used some Stickle glitter on the dress and shoes.

I'll definitely be buying some more digi-stamps. Had fun "coloring" in the image.

Tree of Life

Today I made two cards....this was my second one using some new items. It looks like a card fit more for Spring but I still love it....

I used my new Cricut Lite Bloom cartridge for the tree and fence. The tree I cut at 4" and the fence at 1 1/4". The leaves were a bit time consuming to pop out after cutting and than placing on the tree. (I also had to cut 2 sets of leaves in the light and dark green to cover all the spots.) On the darker leaves, I used the Stickles glitter in Patina to add some sparkle (love sparkle...).

I used 2 of the smaller fences from the Bloom cartridge and than added some brown ink with a sponge for an aged look. On the red flowers I used my Stickles Xmas Red glitter.

My stamp "Especially for You" I've had for awhile but it's by Heart Art Studios. I used the same sponge application as for the fence.

The background paper is from the Paper Studios "A Day at the Beach" pack (4.5" X 6.5").

Flip Flop Summer

I love, love to wear flip flops. I have quite a few pairs and practically live in them. LOL. Today I made a couple cards....the first of which is this cute summer card.

The background paper is from a 4.5" X 6.5" pack by The Paper Studio called "A Day at the Beach". I used my Life's a Beach (can you tell the theme here??) Cricut cartridge for the flip flops. It was cut at 3 1/2". I sprayed some Tattered Angel Glimmer Mist in Lemon Zest over the yellow polka dot flip flops to add a soft touch of glimmer. On the top of the flip flops I added some 3D Crystal Lacquer to make them shiny and than added some cute glittery flowers.

I used my new "Sun Kissed" stamp set from Scrappy Moms for the lettering. So cute!

I got a really great idea on how to make a flat ribbon on You Tube

A cute card "just because".....
